Seabreeze Apparel

First Steps

Are you seeking to manufacture your clothing range in New Zealand?

Can you achieve a minimum production run of 50 units per design (all sizes included)?

Do you have your fabric selection and garment accessories ready?

If so then we should be able to help you.

Please send us images and/or detailed drawings of the garments you wish to make. If we determine these garments are suitable to make at our plant, we can provide you with initial price estimates of the CMT cost. If needed our in-house pattern maker and sample maker can meet with you in our Design Room at our Silverdale premises in Auckland, or we can discuss your garments via email and phone.

We hold in stock 100% cotton single jersey fabric in a range of colours at competitive prices. For all other fabric types, we require you to supply the fabric. We can refer you to reputable fabric and accessory suppliers if needed.

Once we confirm the garments are suitable to produce we will provide you with an initial estimated cost for garment make.

Please keep reading if you are new to this as we will most likely answer many of your initial questions about manufacturing in the information below.

Pattern Making and Grading

We provide in-house pattern making services as required. A meeting can be arranged to discuss your requirements. If you aren’t Auckland based we can still communicate successfully via email and phone. Skype is also available.

Once the sample has been completed we can grade the pattern for your sizing requirements using our Computer Aided Design (CAD) System and Plotter. Manual card grading and marking is also available if this is what you prefer.

A pattern charge will apply for each pattern made.

Similarly if grading is required a grading charge will apply. These costs will vary slightly depending on the complexity of the garment, but final costs will be discussed with you before proceeding with any pattern or grading work.

Sampling Process

Sample stage is an opportunity to inspect fit, design and quality before production. In some cases further samples are required should changes need to be made. The sample process is important to ensure you are 100% happy with the product before production commences.

I can’t recommend Seabreeze Apparel highly enough! Being a one stop shop for cutting, making and printing has revolutionised the production of my knit styles. Aside from the obvious cost savings that come from keeping everything under the one roof, I trust the team there implicitly - they are at the top of their game and I couldn’t be happier with their work.
